ABOUT MATHLINKS ACADEMY

Where ideas connect, confidence grows.

Meet our founder, and the thinking behind how we teach.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

Learning to think for yourself

I started MathLinks Academy to help students genuinely understand what they're learning, build real confidence in their own ability, and discover they can solve problems they once found intimidating.

I've been teaching for 19 years. I studied Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi and Mathematics at New York University (NYU), and alongside teaching I've worked full time in technical and quantitative roles at Qualcomm, J.P. Morgan, LSEG and Goldman Sachs. Those years in industry only deepened my belief in the value of clear thinking and lifelong learning.

My teaching draws on Socratic questioning — asking students to explain their own reasoning and find the connections themselves — and on George Pólya’s approach to problem solving: understand the problem, make a plan, carry it out, then look back at what you did.

I want every student to leave with more than exam technique. Through clear explanations, thoughtful questions and honest feedback, my aim is for them to become independent thinkers who face unfamiliar problems with confidence — not just prepared students.
